We landed in Perth in September 07
Strangers at first, but soon were in heaven
A brand new challenge is what we both sought
The running bug was soon to be caught
We found you by chance via the world wide web
We saw Chris and Co., but there was no Seb
So, what kind of friends are you – NSRG ?
You´re kind and you´re caring and you don´t mind us sharing
In your world of adventure and the singlets you´re wearing.
The network is wide but informed with real clarity
And nobody else does such great work for charity.
You support and cajole and you bring out the best
Of every single one of us, the zest of the West.
You´re witty and charming, you like the odd joke
But really deep down you´re the best kind of folk
How many friends have we really got ?
Well when we start counting we begin with you lot
We come from the city of steel and of coal
Partners at first but we´ll soon reach our goal
We count ourselves lucky to be just a part
Of your group that has touched us right to the heart
So thank you for having us tonight and always
We treasure the friendship through our running ways
One final thought if you know what it´s worth
You´re not just friends, you´re salt of the earth.
